Piti Wins Extreme Sports Presidential Elecction

Piti Bhirombhakdi has promised that he would help Thailand produce athletes who could compete at the Olympics after being reelected as the president of the Thailand Extreme Sports Association for the third consecutive time during a General Assembly at the

Piti won a unanimous vote from 33 club members and will serve his fouryearterm until 2019. He said that his main focus is to promote extreme sports in the Kingdom and develop Thai athletes to international level.
 
“We intend to conduct more events in all regions of our country and at the same time improve the standard of local competition to that of international level. We hope to have Thai athletes in the Olympic Games in the next four years,” said Piti, who is also a keen racer.
 
In October last year, the Thailand Extreme Sports Association had moderate success at the World Freestyle Championship in Italy where its athletes produced one silver in Classic Slide and one bronze in Battle Slalom. 
 
Piti said Thailand will host the World Freestyle Championship between November 1822 at the Hua Mark  Indoor Stadium which will see extreme sports athletes from more than 30 countries.
