Thai Juniors Dominate SEA Amateur Golf Championship in Singapore
Thailand made a clean sweep of eight titles in the 2016 SEA Amateur Golf Team Championship at the par 70 Garden Course in Singapore on Friday.
In the Putra Cup event, the foursome of Kammalas Namuangruk, Napong Sriparsit, Sadom Kaewkanjana and Witchayanon Chothirunrungrueng fired a total of 12-under-par 828, three strokes ahead of Singapore. Kammalas also won the individual event following a score of seven-under-par 273.
In the Santi Cup, Kanyalak Preedasuttijit, Manuschaya Zeemakorn and Pajaree Anannarukarn shot a combined 553, 13 strokes ahead of the Philippines. The individual trophy went to Pajaree who scored 10-under-par 270.
Thai youngsters also won both the team and individual events of the Lion City Cup and Kartini Cup. A total of 13 Thais participated in the event which took place between September 6-9.
