It’s not Muslims who are out of step with the world
Pew Research recently produced an interesting US survey showing that, the more religious people are, the less they oppose science and its findings. Conversely, the closer they are to atheism, the more likely they are to view their beliefs as incompatible
In regard to the ongoing religious debate in the Letters section of The Nation, if there’s one fundamentalist group that believes everyone else is wrong and needs to be re-educated because they don’t notice their incompatibility with the real world, it’s not the Muslims.
