Stingray extinction just tip of the iceberg

Stingray extinction just tip of the iceberg

I am a spokesman for non-human species. On their behalf, I thank the people who are researching and exposing the pollution and destruction of habitat going on throughout Southeast Asia. Unfortunately, the forces that are damaging the ecology far outweigh

Dugongs (manatees) and sea turtles are essentially extinct along Thailand’s coast. Whenever we hear about a large species disappearing – the most recent case being freshwater stingrays – we can be sure there are hundreds of smaller species also suffering greatly, but which are less visible.
