1.1    trillion rupiah bond to boost UOB lending
United Overseas Bank Indonesia plans to issue 1.1 trillion rupiah (Bt2.95 billion) in bonds next month.
The proceeds would support the bank’s lending capacity next year.
UOB Indonesia president director Kevin Lam said 1 trillion rupiah in proceeds would come from senior bonds while the remaining 100 billion rupiah would come from subordinated bonds. Both will be offered from November 17-22.
“The bond will enable us to maintain solid funding as we help our customers seize business opportunities arising from increased infrastructure development and consumer demand,” he said during a public expose in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The senior bond is divided into three series with a buy-back option, he added. |– The Jakarta Post
