New president of Ascend Money named

Ascend Group chief executive officer Punnamas Vichitkulwongsa said the company’s board of directors had approved the appointment of Tanyapong, who has had proven success from his experience in the finance industry.
“He stands out among the generation of young leaders and his farsighted vision for the industry leads to exceptional management skills.

Tanyapong completed his undergraduate studies in engineering at Kasetsart University and went on to receive a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Rochester in the United States.
With more than 15 years of experience in the finance industry, he started his career at GE Capital (Thailand) Co, overseeing credit cards and home loans. He went on to join Bank of Ayudhya to oversee customer-relations management before being appointed managing director of CFG Services Co, which is known for its Srisawad Ngen Tid Lor consumer-loan brand. 
He then joined Krungthai Bank to oversee retail banking before joining Ascend Money Co as president.
Ascend Money Co is a financial-technology firm with a presence in six Asean countries, namely Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines.
