BHM Asia secures sixth hotel deal in Vietnam

SINCE ENTERING the Vietnamese market last year, Bespoke Hospitality Management Asia has been gradually expanding its presence.

The company has signed its sixth management contract for properties in Danang, Hoi An, Halong Bay and Viet Tri.
Chief executive officer Anthony McDonald said the properties were a mix of hotels, resorts, branded villas and residences, with a combined count of more than 850 keys.
“The company has been successful where larger international groups have struggled, due to the company’s philosophies and Asian culture,” he said.
“Having been born in Asia, the company understands the way to do business here and the importance of long-term personal relationships.”
The projects range in size from 60 to |more than 230 keys, with a combination of hotels, villa developments and branded residences.
Most projects carry the design hotel brands of the company, X2 CrossTo and X2 Vibe, renowned for its “Luxury by Design” ethos and appeal.
The company’s other brand, “Away”, is also proving of interest to investors of retreats and wellness-focused resorts, where a relaxed resort with international presence is what they are looking for, says the firm.
The first property launch of New Hoi An City will be the X2 Vibe Hoi An Residence, scheduled to open in the second quarter of next year. The company says these 230 residential units will set new standards in the Danang-Hoi An beachfront scene with large, comfortable one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and villas.
Simon Jinks, manager for Vietnam, said the company was building a team to support the new openings planned over the next 12-24 months.
The expectation is that the group will have more than 10 projects under development this year and 16 next year.
“We are very confident with the Vietnamese market, and developers and investors see great value in our brands and what value we can bring to their projects,” he said.
