Loxley announces management restructuring

LISTED THAI conglomerate Loxley has undertaken management restructuring to keep pace with changes in technology and the business environment.

According to its statement yesterday, the company has promoted Suroj Lamsam, 50, to president from senior executive vice president, replacing Dhongchai Lamsam, who in turn has been promoted to chairman of the executive board.
Suroj has been with Loxley for 25 years.
It has also appointed Chalermchoke Lamsam, 43, as managing director. Prior to this post, he was senior executive vice president. Chalermchoke has been with Loxley for around 20 years.
All the appointments will take effect on January 1.
Dhongchai said Loxley wanted to give a batch of its young talents the opportunity to take on greater management roles, and the changes mark an important step to ensure the company’s continued sustainable growth.
Pirote Lamsam and Sukit Wanglee will remain the company’s chairman and vice chairman respectively.
Suroj will also take charge of the management board, which comprises 11 members. Its roles are to run day-to-day management and implement business plans.
After the restructuring, Loxley businesses will be mainly divided into three groups, namely technology business, trading business, and service business, a change from the current six main groups.
The technology business group will include information and communications technology, telecommunications, construction, infrastructure, and alternative energy. The trading business group will be responsible for both domestic and international trade.
