Glico launches sugar-free chocolate-flavoured product

THAI Glico Company, the manufacturer and distributor of confectionery under the Glico brand, has responded to the growing trend of health consciousness by presenting a sugar-free chocolate product.

The company is confident that “Glico Zero Sugar Chocolate Flavour” will win a warm response from health-conscious females in particular.
“Thailand’s chocolate market was worth Bt5.5 billion in 2015, [and] has been growing continuously,” said Takayasu Tatsumi, general manager of the marketing group at Thai Glico. 
“Glico has a commitment to our ‘Wholesome Life in the Best of Taste’ philosophy. We have conducted our business for our customers’ ‘Heart, Health and Life’. 
“We offer tasteful products that consumers can enjoy healthily. Our products, moreover, are of good quality. That’s why Glico has been popular in Thailand. We have had a large of Glico fans in the country. Our ties with Thai consumers have lasted for well over 46 years.
“Studies show that 25 per cent of Bangkok residents have diabetes and the number of diabetic patients keeps growing across Thailand. Sugar over-consumption is one of the common causes. 
“It’s true that sugar makes snacks and sweets tasty. That delights consumers. But too much sugar can hurt one’s body. Guided by our commitment to manufacturing good food and confectionery, Glico has recognised the need for people to limit their sugar intake within a healthy level. We have thus developed and now launched sugar-free but delicious products. 
“Glico Zero Sugar Chocolate Flavour is now coming to Thailand for the first time. It is not only tasty but also healthy, a delight for female chocolate lovers who care about their health,” Tatsumi said.
