Billed as Asia’s largest “small world”, Stanley MiniVenture is a new destination for families living in or travelling to Bangkok from the realms of reality around the world. The showcase, created at intricate 1:87 detail by expert craftsmen, exhibits the smaller “world” through model trains and cars, ships and shipping ports, beaches and desert towns, cities and coal mines and airports with flights taking off and landing. All about tourism
The Thailand Tourism Forum 2017 will take place at Bangkok’s InterContinental Hotel on January 23. On the run
The Chiang Mai Marathon takes place this Sunday starting at 4am and will see participants making their way around the moats and old town of Chiang Mai where heritage temples and pagodas provide the eye candy. Promoting sustainable skills
Novotel Phuket Phokeethra launches its “Linens For Life” project in cooperation with the Phuket Community Foundation and Southern AccorHotels. Linens for Life is a joint operation with the Phuket Community Foundation, which organises many CSR projects, and is supported by Southern AccorHotels through donations of all linens that are turned into a range of products. The aim is to support the local community by helping them develop their skills and enjoy a better income. The products made will be sold to the AccorHotel Group and other hotel networks. Linens for Life is part of the “Planet 21”, AccorHotel’s sustainable development programme.
