Embassies and retirement visas: a clarification 

Robin Grant needs to visit the British Embassy website, which states categorically that the financial amounts claimed in the application will not be amended or checked by officers. Among several embassies that require no documentation whatsoever is America’s, which instead requires applicants to swear an oath.
