Thailand stars on list of vegetarian-friendly cities  

I was delighted to read that People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has ranked Chiang Mai third in its list of vegan-friendly cities in Asia. Since the availability and quality of vegetarian food is one of the reasons I live in Chiang Mai, I think the tourism department should send out the message to vegetarians all over the world that they will feel most welcome here.
PETA/Asia also recommended Bangkok, but I think they overlooked Hat Yai, which I’ve always called the “unsung hero” among vegetarian-friendly cities.
