Thai Polo Team, La Familia joint winners at Carrier-B. Grimm Thai Polo Open
B. Grimm Group led by Mr.Harald Link, Chairman of B. Grimm Group and President of Thailand Equestrian Federation, in collaboration with Carrier (Thailand) recently held "Carrier-B. Grimm Thai Polo Open 2017” Annual Polo Charity, with Thai Polo Team and La Familia sharing the title and the prestigious HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Trophy.
Mr. Harald Link said, “The Thai Polo Open is held annually for charity purposes. Proceeds will go to Chitralada Vocational School, while the eventual winning team will win the trophy. This year, we have Carrier (Thailand) as our main sponsor. Five Asian polo teams participated in this year’s competition consisting hosts Thai Polo Team, Malaysia International Team, Royal Pahang from Malaysia, La Familia from Malaysia and Axus from China.”
During the final match between Thai Polo Team and La Familia Team, Mr. Harald Link, head of the Thai Polo Team, accidentally fell from the horse while competing. La Familia Team had asked the organisers to stop the on-going game and both teams were finally declared the joint winners. The third, fourth and fifth places went to Axus, Royal Pahang and Malaysia International respectively.
