THAI LIFE INSURANCE HELPS VICTIMS OF SOUTHERN FLOODS

Thai Life Insurance has extended the grace period for premium payments by 60 days for its clients affected by the floods.
It will also waive the collection of interest for overdue payments for flood victims. 
The insurer has also provided assistance to flood victims through the Navy.
It has sent volunteers to the hard-hit areas of the South as well.
Sawat Naruvorawong, senior executive vice president and chief operation officer of Thai Life Insurance, said the company was aware of the suffering of the flood victims in the Southern region. 
“We issued the measures to assist the insured in the affected areas of 12 provinces – Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Phatthalung, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Trang, Krabi, Ranong, Chumphon and Prachuap Khiri Khan.” 
For Thai Life customers in the affected regions whose premiums were due since January 5 and up until January 31, the grace period for premium payment has been extended by 60 days.
The insured have the right to make claims under their policies.
The Fax Claim Service is effective as usual. 
For Thai Life policyholders of ordinary life insurance, if the cash value occurred since January 5 and up until January 31 but they fail to pay their premiums within the grace period, the company will not charge them interest.
That is provided the premium is paid within six months.
For policies renewed within six months of a policy becoming ineffective between January 5-31, the company will waive the interest.
