Denying climate change is like ignoring a bomb threat
With regard to reports that President Trump and his coterie of insatiable billionaires are all (somewhat unsurprisingly) climate-change deniers, it has to be said that whether they accept the disputed evidence or not is irrelevant.
The reality is that to ignore the threat is not an option, since the resulting calamity would be devastating and cannot be risked.
It’s a bit like the dilemma police face if they receive a warning of a bomb in a cinema, for example. They might be sceptical about the evidence, but they have no option but to evacuate the premises just in case!
