Muang Thai Life adds digital dimension to meet clients’ health needs

Muang Thai Life Assurance and start-up Health at Home have announced a key strategic partnership. It will focus on using technology and start-ups to create products and services to meet the needs of customers of Muang Thai Life Insurance. 

It is starting with the launch of “Fuchsia” Innovation Centre and a collaboration with “Health at Home” - a healthcare start-up from the dtac accelerate family - to help strengthen the business of Muang Thai Life Insurance.
Sara Lamsam, president and chief executive officer, said that under its business direction for 2017, Muang Thai Life Insurance had adjusted its corporate culture in order to gain a better understanding of customers’ requirements as part of its customer centric strategy. 
Today the life insurance business is entering a generation in which people’s needs are diverse. It will reinforce the company’s customer centric strategy and its commitment to become the leading life insurance company in Thailand.
Muang Thai Life Insurance has recently launched “Fuchsia Innovation Centre” - a new dimension in innovation under the “out of the box” concept. 
“We are building a collaborative culture” to allow everyone in the organisation, regardless of their age and position, to be part of creating new innovations. Nobody understands what customers want better than those staff-members serving and directly interacting with the customers. Hence, we look to obtain and integrate ideas from different age groups and collaborate with both tech and non-tech partners to develop and create new products and services that best suit customers’ specific needs,” said Sara.
Muang Thai Life Insurance has also introduced new business partners to jointly “think out of the box” to create products and services that best suit customers’ specific needs.
Sompoat Chansomboon, director of Business Innovation & dtac accelerate, Total Access Communication (dtac), said that dtac accelerate is pleased to form the strategic partnership with Muang Thai Life Insurance. 
“We [began] looking to leveraging our innovation to benefit customers of Muang Thai Life Insurance, starting with the integration of “Health at Home” with the insurance products and services late last year. There will be more collaboration with other start-ups from the dtac accelerate family in the near future as well as the dtac accelerate batch 5 that will be launched soon,” said Sompoat.
