CP launches “Opens the Door to Your Dream” project for young football players

   
“Just Believe in Your Dream” project has successfuly found young talented boys who want to become professional football players from around the country. The intense screening process was conducted by respected coach from BUFC who has travelled to recruit 20 young talents at 12 stadiums throughout the country. This year, the number of participants were more than 5,000 which was beyond expectation. A total of 86 young potentials had been shortlisted but only 20 made to the project. Today is the first day for 20 talents to fully be a part of the programme. We wish them to be determined to make their dream come true. Charoen Pokphand is confident that the young talents who have been awarded the opportunity will receive a precious experience and improve their football skills to the international level. It is a good opportunity for them to start the improvement and development of their skills, to become professional players in the future. It is our intention to help build new rising stars, to improve the sports industry to grow sustainably. That makes them get closer to the international level. This also reflects our determination to promote sports among youngsters. BUFC Academy has been building young football players for Thai football industry. The training by BUFC Academy allows participants to train with professional coaches and football players from BUFC. The course also allows the participants to have matches against other teams, to enhance their experience. The training will include both workshop on football skills, based on international standard, and workshop to enhance the physical and mental health of the participants, to prepare them to become professional players when they turn 18 years old.Simultaneously, we also provide formal education for all 20 young talents by enrolling them into Bangkok Christian College. These young potentials will receive both training and formal education, to prepare them to become superstars, based on their skills, who will make Thailand and BUFC famous in the future,” said Kachorn Chiaravanont, Group Executive Director - Corporate Affairs, True Corporation Plc and President of Bangkok United Football Club.
 
CP’s “Believe in Your Dream” project is a cooperation between Charoen Pokphand Group, True Corporation, Chia Tai, and Bangkok United Football Club, to make dreams of the young football players, aged between 11 and 13, especially those in remote areas come true. The BUFC coaches spent over two months and screened 86 young potentials from more than 5,000 young participants around the country. The shortlisted 86 players were tested at TOT Stadium in Chaeng Wattana before the announcement of 20 young talents was made on December 10 and 11. The project has been supported by Charoen Pokphand Group, True Corporation, Chia Tai, and Bangkok United Football Club, to bring the young talents to receive training at BUFC Academy, under supervision of Australian coach Daniele Invincibile fthe BUFC. The training will allow them to learn the football skills from the coach and enhance their experience from matches, as well as to study in Bangkok Christian College.
