Thai, Singapore firms join for PR service

NEO TARGET CO, a Thai public relations firm, and Singapore’s Mileage Communications Group have announced an exclusive and strategic partnership to provide PR services across Asia.

The Mileage Communications Group’s network will enable Neo Target to offer its customised digital marketing services to Thai companies that are growing in response to the government’s “digital economy” strategy.
The Mileage Communications Group is Asia’s largest home-grown PR consultancy. It has offices in nine countries and 15 cities: Singapore (headquarters), China (Shanghai), India (New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata), Indonesia (Jakarta), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Myanmar (Yangon and a rep office in Mandalay), South Korea (Seoul), Thailand (Bangkok) and Vietnam (Hanoi and a rep office in Ho Chi Minh City).
Besides its own network of offices, Mileage Communications is a member of the Public Relations Global Network, which is an organisation of 50 independent agencies worldwide.
Vannee Leelavechbutr, founder and chief executive officer of Neo Target Co, said the exclusive partnership with Mileage Communications would help broaden and reinforce Neo’s existing PR consultancy business in Thailand, particularly in marketing communications and corporate and brand reputation management. This partnership will also boost Neo’s regional outreach significantly.
In recent years, Thai companies have invested overseas to broaden their markets. The Asean countries have topped the chart of investments from Thailand.
According to statistics from the Bank of Thailand, the Kingdom’s foreign direct investment was worth Bt182 billion in the first three quarters of 2016, a sharp rise from Bt21.3 billion for 2015. In the same period, Thailand’s FDI in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam (known as the CLMV grouping) totalled Bt94.9 billion, compared with Bt51.87 billion in 2015.
With robust economic growth, short distance to CLMV and the popularity of fund transfers to these countries denominated in baht, Thai investments have grown significantly since 2011, Vannee said.
Yap Boh Tiong, chairman of the Mileage Communications Group, said it was privileged to collaborate with Neo Target Co and was confident of a successful and enduring partnership, as both companies share the same philosophy of treating clients with trust and integrity, adding value and providing quality service.
