Hitachi Elevator Cambodia established in 

Hitachi Elevator Cambodia is a joint venture between Hitachi’s Thailand-based subsidiary Siam-Hitachi Elevator Co and CMED Group Co in Cambodia. 
Hitachi Elevator Cambodia will train its engineers at the Asia Training Centre, which was established by Hitachi and Hitachi Building Systems Co in January in Thailand. The company says it will provide safe, high-quality products and services to Cambodia.
Currently infrastructure development in Cambodia is rapidly progressing, including roads and electricity networks, which are indispensable to development of the country. 
Cambodia’s gross domestic product is expected to grow by more than 7 per cent per year until 2020. 
Investments from overseas in Cambodia are centred on the manufacturing industry and real estate. Demand for elevators and escalators in urban areas is expected to expand by more than 10 per cent a year.
Since Hitachi began delivering escalators to Cambodia in 1982, it has provided sales, installation and maintenance services for elevators and escalators through Siam-Hitachi, including in 2014 when Hitachi delivered elevators and escalators for Royal Phnom Penh Hospital, one of the largest hospitals in the country. 
In addition to sales to Cambodian customers, Hitachi will put efforts into supporting sales projects in the country by foreign companies, including Japanese-owned firms.
