Experiences and beliefs

“Investigating Inspirations” is the title of the latest exhibition at Thavibu Art and features new artworks by established and promising contemporary Thai artists Therdkiat Wangwatcharakul, Santi Thongsuk, Kritsana Chaikitwattana, Chatchawan Amsomkid, Rattana Salee and Sudaporn Phannil. Showing from March 18 until May 30, it brings together paintings and sculptures inspired by beliefs ranging from social and political to the spiritual and aesthetic. Topics covered in this exhibition range broadly from the geo-political to the loneliness of living in a metropolis, Buddhism as an anti-dote to chaos, the collision of ideologies, the fragility of human existence, and the ethics, or lack thereof, of animal experimentation.
