New fashion trends unveiled at show

Eleven leading Thai fashion brands which are the members of Bangkok Fashion Society (BFS) recently unveiled their spring/summer collection in a runway show at EmQuartier under the concept “See Now-Buy Now”, allowing people to buy items after the show.

The brands include Asava, Greyhound Original, Issue, Kloset, Milin, Painkiller, Tutti & Tutti Frutti, Vickteerut, ASV, Patinya and TAndT.
“We are still determined to drive Thai fashion to gain acceptance worldwide, with our uniqueness in creativity and work quality of craftworks,” said Polpat Asavaprapa, the president of BFS.
“Normally, outfits previewed in the show were not allowed for people. But this time we aim for them to experience our new collection immediately. This shows our eagerness and readiness on how we want to drive Thai fashion industry to grow fast.”
The outstanding silhouettes for this summer are flair shirt, skirt, trousers, loose-loose and casual pattern fits.
Smart suit and uniforms feature a baggy pattern in tailoring.
The key colours are pastel mixed with grey and caramel, basic black and white, and sun-bold shades with a hint of brown.
A new member of BFS, Patinya Giaokhong from the Patinya brand, said: “For this summer, we revived the glamorous retro style of Thai ladies in the past, with a street look that looks casual but elegant without being too perfect.
“But it looks fun with details like wrapping items and flair pieces. A highlight item is a mix of waist and corset that combines three pieces together with beautiful silhouette.”
