Mazda Sales Thailand Co Ltd (MST), the distributor of Mazda vehicles in Thailand, has selected three representatives to compete in the finals of the MAZTECH Skill Competition later this year.
This is the 14th year that the event, which aims to raise the capabilities of Mazda mechanics through competition, will be held in Thailand.
This year’s competition is divided into three categories – technician, service advisor and customer relations.
A total of 30 participants took part in this year’s event (10 in each category), which saw winners advancing from the qualifying round to the semi-final and final.
The winners of each category are as follows:
Technician – Anupas Yoosuwan from Mazda Maharach (Chanthaburi)
Service adviser – Ronranok Prinkwintra from Mazda Beach Motors (Bangkok)
Customer relations – Sureewal Yooyang from Damrongsap (Bangkok)
Each winner collected Bt30,000 and will represent Thailand in the international round.
Mazda has enjoyed strong growth in the Thai market thanks to a fresh new line of SKYACTIV products, and last year it secured third position in Thailand’s highly-competitive passenger car market.
“Improving the after-sales service quality is an important strategy in order to achieve maximum customer satisfaction,” said Dr Panas Boonkham, senior after-sales director at MST. “With the growing number of Mazda customers, we need to continuously improve the service quality, and staging the MAZTECH Skill Competition is one way of achieving that goal.”
