Now you can send parcels using Line
The latest attraction for the Line app is “Postal Service”, currently in trial version, which is designed to make life easier for Thai merchants and small and medium-sized enterprises with national door-to-door parcel delivery.
Line Man had great success with its Food Delivery service and now there’s Postal Service in beta version, for Android devices only so far. You can have someone pick up a parcel at your door and deliver it anywhere in Thailand at a reasonable price.
Postal Service is a collaboration with Alpha, which handles national deliveries for firms involved in e-commerce. One next-day-guaranteed service called Delivery by Alpha is available only in Bangkok and neighbouring areas. Offered nationwide, Delivery by EMS is the other service, in which Line Man takes your parcel to the post office for you.
Postal Service requires only a minimum of information to activate. Senders need only drop a virtual pin on a map displayed on their phones to indicate their address. Afterward they can check on delivery status, using an EMS tracking number, and share that status with the receiver via Line.
In terms of security, Line Man also offers up to Bt2,000 worth of insurance for goods being delivered.
