EUROPEAN TOUR winners Nicholas Colsaerts of Belgium and Marcel Siem of Germany have been awarded honorary membership of the Singha All Thailand Tour.

Colsaerts, Siem, Finland’s Mikko Ilonen and Mikko Korhonen, and Thorbjorn Alesen of Denmark have been invited to join as members of the All Thailand Tour, one of the two |leading professional tours in the country.
The All Thailand Tour, which is marking its 19th year, features 10 events with total prize money of Bt31 million. A field of 215 – 187 men and 28 women – will compete on the tour this season. Eighteen of them, including Thai No 1 Thongchai Jaidee and No 2 Kiradech Aphibarnrat, are in the world top-500.

“There are a lot of young Thais on the Asian Tour at the moment. They have gained experience from the local tour and used it as a springboard to the international tour,” said the 34-year-old Colsaerts, a two-time European Tour winner, who will take part in several Thai events this year.
Following the season-opening event in Khon Kaen last month (won by Danthai Boonma), nine more legs are due between this month and October. The dates for the Thongchai Jaidee Foundation tournament and the Boonchu Ruangkit Championship, which are co-sanctioned by the Asian Development Tour, will be announced later this year. The second leg of the All Thailand series will be the Singha Championship at Rayong Green Valley Country Club from March 23 to 26.

The Order of Merit title went to Udorn Duangdecha, who won Bt1,489,225 last year, while Saranporn Langkulgasettri took the title in the women’s category with earnings of Bt125,000.
Former SEA Games national player Chanachok Dejpiratanamongkol, who made nine cuts and had three top-10 finishes in 10 events, took the Rookie of the Year title. Thongchai took home the Lifetime Achievement Award in acknowledgement of his eight European Tour wins and 13 Asian Tour titles.
