In an enchanted forest

In an enchanted forest

Inspired by the legendary Himmapan forest in Buddhist literature, the new live show “Himmapan Avatar” has been wowing local audiences since opening at the Show DC Bangkok entertainment complex earlier this month.

Created by the CMO Company – also known as CM Organiser – the story is set at the Anodard pond, home to a precious stone called Manee Rattana, the power of which renders protection from all the demons. The Manee Rattana maintains equilibrium of the three worlds, helping all creatures in the universe to live peacefully.
But every 1,000 years, the Manee Rattana’s power deteriorates. In order to imbue it with more power, the stone is brought down from the waterfall to undergo a ritual from the Manosila Marble under Anodard pool. In the meantime, Rahu, the Demons’ master, tries to steal the stone and take control.
The show focuses on the battle between Manee Rattana’s protector Acksorn Paksri and Kala Paksa, as demons and gods fight for power over the Himmapan Forest
With beautiful costumes and a stunning set design, the fantasy extravaganza features music and songs by Teeranai Na Nongkhai and Narintorn Na Bangchang and is ideal for all ages.
The 70- minute show is performed in Thai at the 700-seat theatre on Show DC Bangkok’s 4th floor and is staged at 7.30pm daily from Wednesday to Monday with 2.30 matinees on weekend. Tickets cost Bt1,400, Bt1,700 and Bt2,000 at Thai Ticket Major counters and at www.ThaiTicketMajor.com.
