The National Basketball Association (NBA) and digital service provider Advanced Info Service (AIS), recently announced a new partnership that will bring NBA games and programming to AIS’s nearly 41 million mobile subscribers nationwide and integrate AIS with Jr NBA, the league’s global youth basketball participation programme for boys and girls.

As the official Wireless Services Partner of the NBA in Thailand, AIS will provide fans with access to NBA games in Thai through its AIS PLAY app, livestreaming two games per week through the 2016-17 regular season and eight games during the 2017 NBA Playoffs. AIS will stream the 2017 Conference Finals and 2017 NBA Finals on a delayed basis. AIS will also provide fans with access to additional NBA content from the 2016-17 NBA season, including daily and weekly highlights.
Also as part of the partnership, AIS will enhance the Jr NBA programme in Thailand and help promote basketball participation and an active lifestyle among youth. There will also be NBA-themed retail promotions offering a chance to win exciting NBA prizes and unique NBA experiences.
“We are excited to partner with AIS to bring enhanced and localised NBA content to our fans in Thailand,” says NBA Asia Managing Director, Scott Levy.
“This comprehensive partnership with the largest digital service provider in the country is part of our continued mobile expansion to provide fans with access to our league and players anywhere, anytime.”
Through NBA LEAGUE PASS, fans can watch NBA games live and on-demand on multiple devices. Subscribers can access multigame viewing, play markers, stats and multiple viewing options including NBA Mobile View, which delivers a closer shot of the action optimised for viewing on the smaller screens of tablets and phones.
