Vickteerut adds style to summer holidays

Vickteerut adds style to summer holidays

With the accent on “freshness”, Thai fashion brand Vickteerut has unveiled its “Villa Egerton” spring-summer collection.

Founder Ornprapan Suthinoraseth recently paraded the new creations at Phraya Palazo on the Chao Phraya River.
Billed as “modern classic”, Villa Egerton offers pieces intended to remain in the wardrobe beyond the any given season, and there are several surprises.
The concept is a summer vacation, with close friends gathering for a party at the real-life Villa Egerton overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
With its spectacular views of the Bay of Monaco, the villa was a favourite destination for fashion designer Coco Chanel, novelists F Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway, actress Greta Garbo and artists Salvador Dali and Man Ray.
The villa, remarkable for its Art Deco interior d้cor, still exists, lending inspiration to Vickteerut’s dream of the perfect holiday getaway.
The use of sheer fabrics like tulle and silk-organza reveals neat stitching lines under see-through shirts worn with skirts and blazers. The result is a delicate summer-layering look.
Vintage structuring, especially in the suits, coat dresses, high-waist slacks and ’40s-style cape jackets is modernised. An A-line cape dress meets a silk-organza suit dress in varying lengths to suit every urban need. A front-tying organza waistcoat is paired with pleated trousers to create a modern fit in a flared silhouette.
