Up close with Red Velvet

South Korea’s idol girl group Red Velvet is dropping into Thailand to take part in a “Special Fan Signing Event” at Quartier Gallery on the M floor of The EmQuartier Shopping Complex on Monday (March 27) at 11am.

Red Velvet comprises Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy and Yeri. The “Red” in the name means they are “enchanting” while “Velvet” shows off their “soft side”.
The Korean girl group debuted on August 1, 2014 with the digital single “Happiness” and has enjoyed notable success and recognition ever since. Their first EP, “Ice Cream Cake” released in March 2015 topped the Gaon Album Chart for 12 weeks and in September 2015, the group's first full-length album, “The Red”, headed straight to the top of Gaon and the Billboard World Albums Chart. Red Velvet has received a total of 13 music awards, including two awards for choreography as well as three new artist awards. “Dumb Dumb” from their album also made it to the top 3 in the Billboard charts and their music video for this track was in the top 10 best music videos listed by Rolling Stone magazine.
In 2016, Red Velvet released their 2nd mini album called “The Velvet” alongside their most popular song, “One of These Nights”. After 6 months, they released their third EP, “Russian Roulette”, which won them yet another award. Now, five girls have released a fourth mini album titled “Rookie”.
Just 200 lucky fans can take part in the signing event and will be chosen at random.    Follow the movement of Red Velvet at Facebook.com/smtruethailand/
