LH Bank card offers theft, accident insurance
Land and Houses Bank and Chubb Insurance have introduced the LH Bank Premium Card, a debit card offering protection in the event of accident or theft as well as convenience in financial transactions, backed by UnionPay.
LH Bank president Sasitorn Phongsathorn announced this week that the card provides users with Bt300,000 in general accident insurance coverage, up to Bt10,000 to cover medical fees following an accident, and the same amount of coverage in the case of a robbery occurring within Thailand.
The theft protection indemnifies the policyholder for loss of cash if their money is stolen from an ATM or if a stolen card is used to withdraw funds from an ATM or used in making an unauthorised payment.
The accident insurance represents round-the-clock protection worldwide, Sasithorn said. Advance payment is not required for cardholders to receive medical treatment at any of the more than 300 participating hospitals in Thailand.
The annual fee for the LH Bank Premium Card is Bt600. It is now available at all LH Bank branches.
