BIG + BIH lifestyle trade fair kicks off in Bangkok
Winichai Chaemchaeng, vice minister of commerce, on Wednesday presided over the grand opening of the Bangkok International Gift and Houseware Fair (BIG + BIH April 2017), organised by the Department of International Trade Promotion in collaboration with the Thai Lifestyle Products Federation and the Design and Objects Association.
The fair provides an important marketing channel for foreign buyers to meet with Thai “lifestyle product” entrepreneurs, aiming to expand the export of such products.
BIG + BIH April 2017 runs from Wednesday to Sunday at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Bitec) in Bang Na district.
The fair features more than 1,000 booths where both Thai and international exhibitors showcase their products for buyers from all over the world such as the United States, Japan, Greater China, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, South Korea, India, Germany and the United Kingdom. The show is expected to attract more than 45,000 visitors and generate sales valued at about Bt800 million.
