Dancing with the swans
Taking inspiration from the grace, beauty and elegance of its iconic swan, Swarovski presents a new jewellery collection with a modern take on the motif.
“For decades the swan has been the perfect symbol of the Swarovski brand. This icon of femininity has a lot of personality – just like Swarovski jewellery. As such, I wanted to use this as a design element in the jewellery collection. It’s a timeless and very chic motif for every occasion – classic in a shimmering gold and clear Swarovski crystal, daring and edgy in black – it’s my favourite symbol and the focus of this collection,” says creative director Nathalie Colin.
The brand also invited style icon Margaret Zhang to capture the collection in a bold photo story featuring contrasting light and dark motifs. Zhang takes cues from ballet in her daring photo story, which examines the striking juxtaposition between black and white, Swan Lake and Black Swan, and apex and abyss.
The striking shots highlight delicate pieces that can be worn every day, such as the Swan mini pierced earrings, which bring a discreet touch of sparkle to any outfit. For fashion-forward flair, the versatile Iconic Swan pierced earring jacket features rose-gold tones and shimmering Pointiage crystals. Both modern and feminine, they can be worn alone for an elegant and timeless look or with Crystal Pearl earring jackets for a more edgy look.
