Thai brand ASV has been inspired by the granddaughter of American novelist Ernest Hemingway in coming up with its spring -summer 2017 collection, even going so far as to name it Margaux Louise Hemingway after the statuesque actress and model who died in the 1990s.

Polphat Asavaprapa, creative director of Asava Group, was on hand recently to unveil the edgy yet elegant collection, which includes a sailor suit with a Havana collar and a cropped jacket worn with short pants, both recreating the look of an intrepid explorer setting off on an exciting journey. One-shoulder and off-shoulder tops pair with culottes, the Ruffle dress, and Overalls draw an alluring picture of ASV women eager to enjoy evocative adventures.

Textiles, a key focus of all ASV collections, include lace, chiffon, a feather-like organza bearing the brand’s signature stripe and refined knitwear woven into a Monstera leaf print. The colour palette is neutral, with the outfits coming in black, white, grey, navy, and ivory.

Lace layering on pinstripe fabric brings femininity to masculine cuts, while knot-ties, drawstrings and shoulder straps underline the naval feel.

The ASV Margaux Louise Hemingway collection is now available at leading department stores and the Asava Group flagship store on Sukhumvit Soi 45.
