Since its inception in 1935, American footwear brand Sperry has been committed to creating purpose-built tools for adventure and discovery, and the 7 Seas shoe is the pinnacle of that expression.
Sperry’s 2017 collection pays homage to its sea-based heritage while meeting today’s most important consumer needs.
The latest collection boasts an assortment of earthy tones and unique materials, including cork, mesh and canvas as well as camo and tribal prints. Women will see added height with modernised takes on the classic espadrille, while the men’s offerings capitalise on the “casualisation” of footwear with sophisticated and trendy sneakers.
Sperry recently embarks on a new odyssey with the launch of the Sperry 7 Seas shoe. The technology behind the line shoe was developed in partnership with the America’s Cup – the pinnacle event in competitive, international sailing. The new line consists of a PRO shoe, which America’s Cup sailors will wear in competition, as well as a consumer version. Both styles exhibit unprecedented silhouettes for Sperry with patented technology and athletic, fashion-forward designs.
The Sperry 7 Seas will evolve for autumn and winter with the introduction of a weatherised model, designed to handle cold and wet weather. Seasonal features include a high strength knit vamp, rubberised mudguard for extra water protection, and lug traction pods to tackle the elements.
With 80 years of seaworthy construction, Sperry’s autumn 2017 boots collection is ready to take on any forecast and every element. The new all-weather boots are designed to be lighter, warmer, and tougher no matter the condition, enabling consumers to keep exploring despite the season.
“The 7 Seas shoe marks a quantum leap for the Sperry brand,” says the brand’s president Rick Blackshaw.
“This shoe was born from the sea and built for the world. This is the shoe our founder Paul Sperry would have designed if he were still with us today.”
