THAI launches recruitment drive
Thai Airways International (THAI) is calling for applications from Thai nationals to serve as flight attendants.
The recruitment drive aims to accommodate the airline’s forthcoming route expansion, says Flight Lieutenant Kanok Thongpurk, executive vice president of Human Resources and Compliance.
THAI is currently in the second phase of its Transformation Plan and is expanding to build strength in order to continue to grow as a leading airline with competitive strength.
The new flight attendants will be hired on a three-year contract, which may be renewed for a further period and will be valid until September 30, 2023.
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
Female Flight Attendants:
- Thai national, single (never legally married) with no children
- Less than 24 years of age (date of birth commencing from January 1, 1993)
- Minimum height of 160 centimetres, with weight in proportion to height based on company standards
- Capable of swimming no less than 50 metres continually and freestyle.
Male Flight Attendants
- Thai national, single (never legally married) with no children
- Less than 25 years of age (date of birth commencing from January 1, 1992
- Have fulfilled Thai military draft requirements
- Minimum height of 165 centimetres, with weight in proportion to height based on company standards
- Capable of swimming no less than 100 metres continually and freestyle
Other Qualifications
- Hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (unlimited degree concentrations)
- Foreign graduation must be certified by the Bureau of Higher Education Standards and Quality
- Have passed any of standardised English language exams with test dates between May 2, 2015 and June 2, 2017 with appropriate scores
- Other foreign language skills, such as Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Italian, and Russian will be taken into consideration.
- IT skills and knowledge are required.
- Good health and good eyesight (no eyeglasses are worn).
- Good personality and interpersonal skills
- Able to take responsibility, ethical and honest.
