Revamped Phi Phi resort the height of luxury

The Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort has undergone a Bt160-million refurbishing, adding more elegant, comfortable suites and pool villas.

The stunning new Beachfront Junior Suites sit by an 800-metre stretch of dazzling, private white-sand beach. Each of the 14 suites features a generous 79 square metres of space with balconies overlooking the Andaman Sea.
For an even more secluded island experience, the 12 breathtaking Hillside Pool Villas nestle on gentle tropical slopes with sweeping views of Loh Ba Gao Bay. Each villa has a six-by-four-metre pool and, inside, 110sqm of luxurious, romantic accommodation.
“Phi Phi has really blossomed since its backpacker days and has now moved beyond flash-packer status,” says Chao Treenawong, the resort’s general manager.
“While the island retains its unique, remote, young-at-heart identity, our resort appeals to people who want to combine the simplicity of a beach vacation with the indulgences of luxury experience.”
Guests enjoy breakfast on a private balcony, priority check-in at the Ocean Lounge, a pillow menu, a complimentary mini-bar and an in-room capsule coffee machine.
A delicious high tea is served in the suites and villas from 3 to 5pm each day. A wonderfully relaxing whirlpool bath is also prepared in the evening with a choice of soothing bath crystals and blended oils to luxuriate and totally unwind.
At turndown time, Asian scented reed diffusers permeate the evening air, with four floral and fresh zesty perfumes to choose from. The fragrance of the Thai island paradise beckons peaceful slumber.
The all-day-dining restaurant Api offers an Asian and international buffet. Freshly brewed coffee and tempting cakes are served outdoors with a sea breeze at Bean/Co and, as the sun sets, the new menu at the Beach House Grill & Chill includes succulent grilled seafood and prime imported meats with a side order of live entertainment.
For those who crave authentic Thai flavours, the resort’s renowned Ruan Thai Restaurant serves traditional cuisine in a beautiful Siamese house.
