Thailand takes on the Premier League pirates

Re: “Football fiasco: Two Britons, Thai accused of Premier League piracy”, The Nation, yesterday.

I wondered when this would happen. Many IP streams out there breaking copyright laws. It will be interesting to see what happens next.

These are not Thai providers. It’s possible to see nearly all Premier League, Bundesliga, ice hockey matches, etc, via Internet streams from providers all over the world in the language of your choice. For free. It’s not rocket science.

Crime of the century. Meanwhile drugs, road deaths, corruption. Business a usual!

It’s a significant crime because it involves commercial exploitation of another company’s broadcast rights (theft). On the other hand, enforcement of drug laws is ineffective and is a substantial contributor to the corruption you mention.
