It’s “Grande” with Ariana
American teen idol Ariana Grande is be heading to Bangkok with her Dangerous Woman Tour, with a concert slated for August 17 at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani.
The Grammy Award nominated artist, who started her career in the Broadway musical “13”, burst onto the international music scene in 2013 with her smash-hit debut album “Yours Truly”, which quickly reached the Number 1 spot on the Billboard chart and spawned the popular single “The Way” featuring Mac Miller.
Less than a year later, she released her second chart-topping album “My Everything”, which won her a Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album and gave the world the six times-platinum hit “Problem”, making her the youngest woman to debut with over 400,000 tracks sold in its first-week.
“My Everything” also produced four Top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and Grande became the first pop star since Michael Jackson, to simultaneously have three songs – “Problem”, “Break Free” featuring Zedd, and “Bang” with Nicki Minaj and Jessie J – in the Top 6 of the Digital Songs Chart. “Bang Bang” went platinum and was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the Grammys.
In 2013, she was named Best New Artist at the American Music Awards as well as Favourite Breakout Artist at the People’s Choice Awards 2014, Choice Female Artist and Choice Single for “Problem” at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards, and Best Pop Video for “Problem” at the 2014 MTV VMAs. Ariana also took home the award for Favourite Female Artist – Pop/Rock at the 2015 American Music Awards.
Last year she released her third album “Dangerous Woman”.
Fans at the Bangkok concert can expect to hear global smash hits such as “Focus”, “Dangerous Woman”, “Into You” and “Side by Side” as well as other popular singles from previous albums.
