Street life in Hong Kong

Street life in Hong Kong

OZO Wesley Hong Kong is inviting Thai travellers to explore the street life and arts of Hong Kong by offering 15- and 10-per-cent off when booking for stays at least 21 and seven days in advance respectively.

The hotel recommends that tourists start their journey at Man Mo temple, one of the island’s oldest temples, built in 1847 during the early colonial period. Dedicated to the god of literature (Man) and the god of war (Mo), this Taoist temple is famous amongst pilgrims seeking knowledge and creativity. Travellers will be fascinated by the giant, golden incense coils hanging from the ceiling.
Then take a stroll down the historic neighbourhood of Central, where the story of modern Hong Kong began. Go hunting for street art on Hollywood Road, one of the city’s oldest streets, where a range of incredible murals and graffiti can be seen in some of the alleys. The masterpieces include a large mural of a colourful, geometric-patterned fox by Rukkit, a famous Thai graffiti artist, the portrait of a charming woman by Hopare, a renowned French artist, and a mural depicting martial arts legend, Bruce Lee, by XEVA, a well-known Korean graffiti artist.
PMQ is one of the city’s most popular art venues. Formerly the Queen’s College and the Police Married Quarters, the venue is now home to many young artists and designers. This hub of creativity provides visitors with a fascinating line-up of studios and designer products from jewellery and clothes to home ware. There are exhibitions and workshops all-year round, offering insights into the local arts and crafts scene. The area is also home to stylish cafes and restaurants, as well antique stores waiting to be discovered.
After an inspirational tour of the undiscovered parts of Hong Kong, guests can retire to the comfort at OZO Wesley Hong Kong and still stay connected to the rest of the world with up-to-date technology, including interactive TV with plug-and-play connectivity.
This promotion is valid for stays until December 31. For details, visit www.OzoHotels.com.
