‘Iron Chef’ has some treats at Nimitr

Tammasak Chootong of “Iron Chef” television fame will be cooking at Nimitr at the 137 Pillars Suites & Residences Bangkok from June 16 to 18.

Tammasak will be “orchestrating a symphony of his distinctively crafted six-course menu with freshly caught, airflown seafood ingredients from Japan, the restaurant says.
These include hotategai (deepsea scallops), botan ebi (large prawns), mizudako (large octopus), ikura (salmon roe), robusuta (lobster), makogarei (white flatfish), kihadamaguro (yellowfin tuna) and kaki (oyster).
The feast will cost Bt4,600 plus or Bt6,500 with wine pairing. 
Guests can arrange to arrive in style in the “Louie the London Cab” customised for the hotel, which will pick up passengers at the Promprong Skytrain station near the EmQuartier. 
Located on Level 27 of the residences, Nimitr serves “Thai-inspired gastronomic cuisine”. 
The restaurant boasts a contemporary Asian design befitting a global metropolis, with a wine wall showcasing premium Northern and Southern Hemisphere labels. 
The restaurant is open daily from noon to 3pm and 6 to 11pm.
