CP and True tu support food for SEA Games athletes

The National Olympic Committee of Thailand and Sports Authority of Thailand along with Charoen Pokphand Group, Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL, CP All PCL and True Corporation PLC held a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony to become the main sponsor of food and telecommunications for Thai athletes taking part at 29th 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur from August 19-30, 2017.

On June 19th, 2017 at 10.30 Hrs. at the Olympic Committee meeting room, Professor (Special) Charoen Wattanasin, vice president and deputy chairman for marketing and rights commission of the National Olympic Committee of Thailand (NOCT), stated that “the NOCT is currently in the process of preparing its athletes to participate in the 29th SEA Games and would like to thank sponsors for their contributions. Charoen Pokphand Group, CPF, CP All and True Corporation have signed a memorandum of understanding with the NOCT and Sports Authority of Thailand to officially provide support of food products and telecommunications services. Charoen Pokphand Group will be supplying nutritious and safe Thai food products to 1,500 Thai athletes, officials and media representatives attending the games as well as provide telecommunication services to connect back to their families in Thailand. Ultimately, athletes will be mentally and physically strong for the games which will ensure success and pride for nation and its people.”

Mr. Nuttawut Ruangves, Deputy Governor for Elite Sports And Sports Science, detailed that “the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) has prepared athletes with experts in various fields consisting of psychologists, nutritionists, physical therapists, and medical staffers to take care of and provide physical rehabilitation for the athletes during the games. Moreover, a “Thai House” will be set up as a facilitation centre for athletes to evaluate performances as well as provide physical and mental therapies. The SAT is pleased to welcome a conglomerate like the Charoen Pokphand Group, CPF, CP All and True Corporation in providing support for food and telecommunications to help Thai athletes become a success at the 2017 SEA Games.”
