Fantasy with fun music

Fans of classical music are invited to join the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra 2017 (TPO) this Friday and Saturday for a performance of exciting music from Japanese animation, all-time favourite cartoons and video games.

The concert titled “Legends and Fantasies” will showcase the beautiful tracks behind the moving images, both classics and contemporary. The programme includes Kohei Tanaka’s “We Are!” (the theme song from “One Piece”), Yasuharu Takanashi’s “Music from “Fairy Tail” and “Naruto”, Yuki Kajiura’s “Sword Art Online” medley, Yoshihisa Hirano’s Symphonic Suite “Hunter x Hunter”, Joe Hisaishi’s “Kiki’s Delivery Service”, Yasunori Mitsuda’s “Scar of Time” (from “Chrono Cross”), Nobuo Uematsu’s One-Winged Angel (from “Final Fantasy VII”), and more!
The TPO will be led by Thanapol Setabrahmana and the concerts take place this Friday (June 23) at 7pm and at 4pm on Saturday (June 24)
The next classic music programme is “From Russia with Love”, a captivating adaptation of “Romeo and Juliet” music by Prokofiev. Joining conductor Alfonso Scarano for Khachaturian’s Flute Concerto will be Italian flutist Antonio Amenduni.
