It’s lucky 88
Jewellery brand Jubilee Diamond celebrated its 88 years of success with a gala dinner at the Plaza Athenee Bangkok last week. Loyal clients were feted with a sumptuous feast and a fashion show of diamond masterpieces collectively valued at more than Bt500 million. Getting pulses racing right off the bat, a cushion-shaped 55.88-carat, D-colour diamond was showcased at the entrance. The one-of-a-kind brilliant diamond whose weight matches the “lucky numbers” 5 and 8 came from the world’s best diamond-cutters in Antwerp, Belgium. It was their work that produced the startling hue and shape.

Saving our oceans
For more than a decade, leading skincare brand La Mer has been committed to supporting the protection of ocean habitats through charitable donations, awareness raising initiatives and local marine beautification projects. This year was no exception and as is its custom La Mer Thailand marked World Oceans Day on June 8 by leading a team of 50 employees, conservationists, and Love Wildlife Foundation, as well as blue hearted artist Alex Rendell to join La Mer’s Blue Heart, a beach cleanup activity on the beaches of Koh Sak.
The public can support the effort by purchasing the Collector’s Creme Limited Edition Blue Heart Creme de la Mer. Priced at Bt19,200 for a 100ml jar, it serves as a canvas for the brand’s annual artistic homage to the ocean and its endless inspiration.

Teetering on Alpine heels
Taking a characteristically whimsical approach for the new season, Christian Louboutin’s new athletic style reflects an Alpine start, with the joie de vivre of the designer encapsulated through a unique and contemporary interpretation of winter sport. The soles of each style feature an entirely new shape for the brand, the architectural silhouette taking its striking structure from the dramatic and distinctive arches whilst acting as a playful grip for urban terrains. All Louboutin’s athlete style come complete with a signature red rubber sole with a white contrast finish for a sporty look paired with playful colour combinations in saturated tones of Magma orange, Jungle green, and Atlantic blue.

Sea mist for the hair
Sephora brings “Verb” haircare products to Bangkok straight from the famed American’s salon in Austin, Texas. Famous for its “Stylists We Love” series, the brand offers the “Sea Spray” (Bt550), a refreshing spray formula that takes landlocked hair to the beach for loose, languid curls. Formulated with natural sea salt and smoothing moisturisers, this light mist infuses all hair types with oceanic waves for a breezy texture boost. A quinoa protein naturally conditions and smoothes hair while sunflower seed extract provides natural UV protection while guarding against dryness, color fading, and brassiness. Green tea extract provides antioxidant protection as seaweed extract and kelp cleanse hair of excess oils and provide natural hydration.
