Thai cooking-class startup claims gong

Cookly, a travel tech startup from DTAC Accelerate Batch 5, was awarded the first runner-up prize in the pitching challenge at Startup Thailand 2017 Chiang Mai.

They beat eight teams.
Cookly is described as a “hip” application that allows travellers to book cooking classes from around the world.
Sompoat Chansomboon, director of DTAC Accelerate, said: “Cookly is a startup that is growing as rapidly as the tourism industry and is widely used by travellers who look to experience local culinary arts and cooking of Thai food from different regions of Thailand, including vegetarian and Akha hill tribe food.
“Cookly’s strength is its partnership with more than 150 Thai and international cooking schools, led by experienced chefs who offer unique local cooking classes.”
Sompoat said Cookly has provided over 250 cooking classes in more than seven countries, including Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia, and plans to expand to America and Europe to meet growing demand for cooking classes worldwide.
