Brunch gets artsy at the W Hotel
The Kitchen Table at the W Hotel hosts a “W Does Brunch” on the first and third Saturdays of every month that mingles elements of fashion and music in with gastronomy and cocktails.
Right through September, diners will be able to enjoy the decorative art of Chanaradee “Phaan” Chatrakul Na Ayudhya, whose three-year-old company is called Juli Baker and Summer. She’ll be presenting her new Spanish-inspired collection “Here Comes the Sun”.
Phaan began her career simply drawing and painting what she liked, “illustrating” her inspirations, from movies to music. She moved on to selling and painting small objets d’art that she describes as playful and naive.
“Here Comes the Sun” had its roots in her visit to subtropical Rota, Spain, home to beautiful sunsets and exotic flora. A custom Spanish menu will complement the collection.
“W Does Brunch”, from 12.30pm to 4.30pm, costs Bt2,500-plus with soft drinks and juice and Bt3,100-plus with cocktails, wine or beer.
The next ones are set for July 15, August 5 and 10, September 2 and 16.
