CP to provide 11 Menus for SEA Games and ASean Para Games athletes

[SEA Games] - Charoen Pokphand Group will provide 11 favourite menus and free roaming SIM cards for Thai athletes both in the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games which will take place in Malaysia in August and September respectively.

Kachorn Chiaravanont, Member of the Executive Committee, Charoen Pokphand Group said that as the official sponsors of food and telecommunications for the Thai athletes, his company has selected 11 favourite menus which will be shipped from Thailand and some will be prepared by CP outlet in Malaysia.

“We chose the most favourite dishes suitable to all our athletes in terms of its taste, hygiene and nutrition. The cooperation among the CP affiliates this time is to demonstrate our capacity as the Kitchen of the World, which will provide fresh and several meal to Thai athletes,” said Kachon.

The 11 favourite menus are Shrimp Wonton, Shrimp Wonton with Tom Yum Flavored Soup, and Shrimp Wonton Soup with Noodles, which will be shipped from Thailand, while the remaining Nasi Lemak with Chicken Rendang, Fried Bee Hoon, Stir Fried Chicken and Basil with Rice, Grilled Teriyaki Chicken with Rice, Spaghetti with Chicken Sauce, Beef Green Curry with Rice, Steamed Chicken Breast with Black Pepper and Fried Egg with Minced Chicken will be cooked in Malaysia.

 Regarding to the telecommunication, roaming True SIM cards will be distributed to all athletes and officials to keep in touch with their family back at home. Also, there’s a promotion for post-paid subscribers who want to support Thai athletes at the venue between August 1 and September 30, with 50% discount rate via TrueMove H roaming service.

Although several Thai favourtie events including sailing, rowing and women’s weightlifting, Olympic Committee of Thailand (OCT) deputy chairman Charoen Wattanasin said the OCT expected to claim the overall title by winning not less than 95 gold medals achieved in the 2015 edition in Singapore.

Thailand will send more than 800 athletes into the 29 th SEA Games which runs between August 19 and 30 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. A total of 405 gold medals are up for grabs in 38 sport disciplines.
