New Epson model for printed indoor media

New Epson model for printed indoor media

TO SUPPORT the high potential growth of signage printers, Epson has developed the SureColor SC-B9070, designed for printed indoor media.

The firm targets to increase its revenue from large format printers by 15 per cent and its share of the large format printer market to 20 per cent this year.
Yunyong Muneemongkoltorn, general manager of Epson (Thailand), said the firm is focusing more on large format printers for the professional printing, signage, technical, CAD/CAM, garment and textile segments.
The SureColor SCB9070 series features ink that can produce the cheapest printed indoor media.
“The SC-B9070 will definitely prove a great investment for ad-printing-service providers that require separate devices for indoor and outdoor media, medium-sized providers that want to expand their business and large organisations that handle their own ad-printing,” he said.
The firm expects its revenue this year to come 35 per cent from the digital lab and amateur photo business, 35 per cent from outdoor and indoor signage, 22 per cent from textiles and garments and 8 per cent from technical and CAD/CAM.
It expects to achieve high potential growth from the signage, textile and garment markets this year.
It aims to sell about 600 large format printers this year.
The large format printer market is expected to stay flat this year at about 2,500 units valued at Bt900 million, but its own positive sales growth target is based on several factors, including a one-year warranty, 70-per-cent reduction in the cost of ink and the thriving indoor media business.
The firm last year sold about 500 large format printers for a market share of 18 per cent.
