Latest news on Burmese convicted of Koh Tao murders
Zaw Lin and Wai Phyo have been granted an extension till August 22, in the latest stage of their appeal against the death sentence after their conviction in the 2014 Koh Tao murders case.
Both of the lads love to receive mail, so if any reader wants to send them a letter of support, it would give their morale a great boost. Obviously, you cannot offer your opinion of their innocence or guilt, since that is up to the Supreme Court to decide now.

They are both Leicester City supporters, after I bought each of them a Leicester team uniform about two years’ ago. I wasn’t allowed to hand over the gifts personally, but when I met their mothers at Koh Samui Prison, I gave them the strips to take back home to Myanmar, so the lads can receive them when they are released.
