Classical guitarist Ekachai “Bird” Jearakul pays a personal tribute to the late monarch with free concert “His Majesty King Bhumibol’s Songs: “Still On My Mind” being staged at The Aksara King Power theatre.

The concert, which is sponsored by Thai Beverage, will feature all new arrangements of the late King’s songs in a style suited to acoustic guitar. The programme includes “Falling Rain”, “HM Blues” and “Near Dawn” and includes solos, duets and orchestral performances.

Guests include Tachaya “Keng The Voice”, flautist, Thanis Sriklindee, vocalist Da Endorphine, pianist Jakkawal ‘Neung’ Saothongyuttitum and talented blind students, pianist Pang and saxophonist Nil. 

The GFA Winner Guitar Trio, which brings together world classical guitar champions from France and Russia, will also perform along with the Youth Guitar Orchestra.
