Veggies on the rise

Tuck into a wide range of vegetarian food at the Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel’s Spice Market, which is offering a Kin Jae promotion from now through Saturday (October 28).

While the faithful diners abstain from eating meat, animal products and strong smelling vegetables such as onion, celery, garlic and certain spices during the annual vegetarian festival, the Spice Market chefs are preparing such healthy dishes as Roti Mataba stuffed with vegetables, sweet potato and pickle vegetables (Bt380) and Yam Moo Yor Jae, a mixture of spicy veggie protein, carrot, Thai celery, mint Leaves, crispy mushroom and spicy sauce (Bt320).
Also on offer is Steamed Spicy Mushroom Souffle cooked with red curry, coconut milk and mixed with gingko nut, tofu and sweet basil for Bt350 and Fried Brown Rice with vegetables, veggie protein, mushroom, tofu, chilli, cashew nut and herbs for Bt350.
