A Brexiteer sniping from a safe distance
Yesterday in this column, Nigel Pike called the people who refused to fall for the blatant Brexiteer lies, “remoaners” (“Don’t believe the Brexit fake news: no deal equals a good deal”).
A big difference, of course, between him and them is that they actually make their stand from Britain, and not Thailand. In other words they have the courage of their convictions, and he does not.
When I have finished my tour of duty here, I will be returning to the UK. I wonder: will he? Given his past remarks, it would appear not.
